Handcrafted aluminium paperweight with brass plating moulded after a real Liège waffle. The Liège waffle is an icon of our Belgian culinary culture. With this paperweight you get to indulge yourself (or your loved ones) without gaining any extra weight.
Jean-Paul took a real Liège waffle with him from Belgium to India to make this paperweight. The story goes that he ate the first one after a long day of shopping at the Delhi markets. Luckily, he had another trip planned and so the second Liège waffle was used as the model for sandcasting the paperweight.
Designed by Jean-Paul Lespagnard and proudly produced by E-O in Delhi, India.
Technique: Sand casting. With this ancient technique each paperweight is slightly different and thus unique.
I live in Brussels and I have one on my coffee table. All my French friends wants it! And now when I travel I bring waffle paper weights instead of chocolate. This last longer :)))
